Maarten Van Den Driessche

Maarten Van Den Driessche, born in 1979, is a lecturer in the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning at Ghent University. He teaches courses on 'Theory of Architectural Design' and 'Architectural Theory.' In addition to his teaching role, he also works as a researcher, curator, critic, and educator. He authored 'The School as Design Challenge: School Architecture in Flanders 1995-2005' in 2005, published by A&S-books / Team Vlaams Bouwmeester, and 'Robbrecht and Daem architects: An Architectural Anthology' in 2017, published by Brussels: Mercatorfonds / Yale University Press. His research focuses on various aspects of architecture, including design methodology, architectural criticism, architectural education, architectural policy, and typological thinking.
