André Tavares
André Tavares, born in Porto in 1976, is an architect and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Porto's Faculty of Architecture. He founded Dafne Editora in 2006. Tavares served as editor-in-chief of Jornal Arquitectos (2013–2015), co-curated the 4th Lisbon Architecture Triennale in 2016, and organized architecture exhibitions at Garagem Sul, Centro Cultural de Belém, Lisbon (2017–2023). He authored 'The Anatomy of the Architectural Book' (2016), 'Raw Material, A View of the Archive of Álvaro Siza’s' (2017), 'Vitruvius Without Text' (2022), and is working on the forthcoming 'Architecture Follows Fish' (2024). Currently, he's a researcher at the University of Porto and leads the 'Fishing Architecture' project funded by the European Research Council.
